I will be finalizing a deal this week on a loaded Trailhawk. I drive about 50,000 km a year. I was quoted for 2 extended warranties. Gold Plan 411 - 5yr 200,000 for $4,540 or Power train Plan 488 - 5yr 200,000 for $3,500. They are very expensive and thinking of not taking either and taking my chances without.

I got plan 415 (5yrs 100,000 K ) $1107 , Basically it extends the 3 year to 5 .

What do Canadian owners out there feel? I hope to keep my Jeep for 5-6 years. Perhaps longer.

My largest concern is the electronic aspect of this (and any other newer vechicle) - uconnect, heated seats, four wheel drive system, and other gadgets. Thoughts from people out there?

As we have established, Gold is considered full coverage (few exceptions) and Gold plus also includes oil changes and tire rotations and car rentals while the jeep is in the shop.

GOLD

410 plan 7ys or 160k $4685 plus tax
415 Plan 5 yrs or 100k $1600 plus tax
416 plan 6ys 120 k $3340 plus tax
417 plan 5yrs or 120k $2790 plus tax


GOLD PLUS

425N 5yr or 100k $3275 plus tax
434N 5yr or 160k $5205 plus tax

415 plan for me. If the car is good, it will be good during that time and if you took care of it properly it will last. If something breaks, then just pay for it when it happens. If the car hasn't been great during that time, sell it when the warranty is close to being over. I know sometimes you want to keep a vehicle for a long time, but some are just lemons no matter how much you take care of it.

You can negotiate anything want. You can get car rentals thrown in to the gold package. And as others have negotiated... those prices are waaay to high

I plan to keep my Trailhawk for at least 10 years. With all the electronics and unproved 9 speed I decided on plan 416, 120km/6years. I was lucky to purchase this plan for slightly over $2000 after some negotiating. Fingers are crossed I never need it. I like the benefit of $50 a day car allowance for a maximum of 5 days if the jeep needs warranty repairs.

Don't they have to provide a car the first 3 years anyways, if it is overnight at the dealership?

No they do not have to provide a loaner vehicle.
