Fair enough.
I can only judge by the small picture you have as an avatar, in your case. For others who have posted pictures here, it is either camera angle or light effects, because what I see is definite strong glare that would have a lot of drivers flashing.
Having fog lights on in the city or on lighted roads is different, but on dark roads... is where you do the most damage (glare).

The *best* fog light would have a steep cutoff and throw light down and wide only. Unfortunately, many OEM fog lights have deficient optics and beed up way too much. The KL OEM fog lights fall into that category.

And I won't get into fog light purpose... Have done that to death already, to many deaf ears it seems.

Yes I see the left front tire off the ground a little bit there. What I noticed right off was the fog light throwing more light upwards (= more glare) than the headlight, which shouldn't happen. Unless the fogs were not secured and pointing up, it's either too much light power or bad optics, or a little of both.

Hi,

Thank you for the order! PM me your order# and I'll make sure you got everything you need.

To answer your question, with our current HID kits for the Cherokee you only need to install the bulbs, ballast, and CANbus (PWM Module). This setup will work without any error codes or issues with the lights shutting off.

Here is a great install guide for you:

2016 TH LED Fog light question...

I have a 2016 TH - Just installed the extreme HID headlights and LED fog lights. Went in without a hitch - the whole process took me about an hour. Overall I am quite happy with the net results.

I did have to play around a bit with the orientation of the HIDs to hide the blank spot in the lights. No one has flashed me yet, so I think the alignment of the HIDs is good. I might adjust the vertical alignment of the fog lights though... they seem to bleed up quite a bit.

One question I do have is the orientation of the LEDs... I presume because of the reflector design, the orientation of the LEDs doesn't matter? The manual spoke of being able to clock the light but I was unable to do so with the PSX24Ws and concluded that it was not doable??

@Chowdher - Some of our LED fogs are clockable, but this would not be necessary as the PSX24W bulbs do not "twist" into place.

Thank you for taking the time to post up feedback

I just recently installed the HID kit with 5k temp bulbs for 2015 cherokee limited. Could not be happier. Install was a breeze and the ballast/pwms modules were easily placed with 3m tape wherever they could fit. Didn't even need a screwdriver for the whole thing (however a 1" hole needs to be drilled on back of housing cap for grommet plug with wires). Finished whole job in maybe 40 minutes. Just ordered the led 5k bulbs for the fogs. My understanding is those are a direct bulb replacement and no box/resister is needed for fogs.

Anyone thinking about led vs hid, go HID. Looks beautiful and casts a perfect spot free curtain of light on the road. Major major(yes I said that twice) improvement over stock lighting.

One tip. Be sure you clock the hid bulbs properly. After install and my first drive it looked like garbage on the left side. Had a major hot spot going diagonally. After closer inspection the left bulbs was clocked at the 3' o'clock position. Make sure the arm on the back of bulb is facing down at 6'oclock on each side for perfect lighting.

Access to the bulb area for my fat hands and arms was no problem. Simply turned the wheel and used the access holes. Hardest part was getting the housing cap off. Lefty loosey on those. I used a flathead with a malet and gently tapped it until it loosened. Driver side went off by hand.

I also taped all connections to make sure none pop off over time with vibration. Some of the connections I didn't trust. Better safe than sorry when on a long trip at night.

Hope my experience helps someone. Cheers.
