LED Fog and Headlight Installed (XenonDepot)

As the title says, this is a complete install of Xenon Depot's LEDs. They are brighter and a better color. This is an easy install and 100% plug and play. No errors, no issues, simple and impressed the two kits.

1) Remove wheel. Pretty much can't do this unless it's removed. Plus you get experience with the jack (not a big fan) and getting the wheel on and off.

2) Remove the 3 8mm bolts holding the wheel well lining.

3) Pull the plastic cover back. It might be helpful to remove the hex nut holding the cover at the bottom.
See step 3 here: http://www.blueox.com/Uploads/Docs/BX1136.pdf

4) Install the Fog and/or Headlights and spread out the aluminum cooling mesh.
Fogs just have retaining clips. Squeeze and pull.
Headlights have a cover. Twist about a quarter turn counter clockwise to remove. Then the lamp is removed by twisting counter clockwise as well. There are 3 tabs that hold it in place. I left the covers off the headlights, couldn't see another way to work the cable into the small area and reinstall the cover.

5) Enjoy!

Passenger is LED, driver is stock

Total time was less than 75 minutes.

Gotchas:
Passenger side is much more difficult, I suggest starting with the drivers side because you can see in the well a whole lot better. I did the passenger side first and struggled with the headlight.

The clips for the fogs are easy to remove, the headlights are much more difficult. Take your time and they'll come off eventually.

Getting the fog light to click in took a little finessing, squeeze the clips, they'll click.

The LEDs are removable from the cable. There is a threaded sleeve that needs to be tightened. I didn't find it useful to separate the two during the install. You can try of course.

Twist or zip ties might be useful, one for each lamp.

Wow that looks great! In another thread I was told you couldn't do plug and play headlight replacement. How much was the whole set?

Nicely done! Thanks for the writeup. Any way you could do a night time road shot? I'd be interested to see the distance and side lighting. Thanks.

I gotta say one thing I've been disappointed by is the headlight output so I've been considering doing an HID or LED upgrade...any particular reason you went with LEDs vs HIDs or did you even consider HIDs?

@zander21510 Simply the plug and play part. HIDs seem to be more work, more parts and cost a bit more.

Going from 1000 lumens to 2500 for LEDs seem pretty great. HIDs are a bit more, but honestly the LEDs are amazingly bright.

Now I wish I would have gotten this instead of the HID kit, seems much easier to install.

I'm sold! I mean these LEDs are better than my Audi's Xenons. Just wish they turned with my wheel and I'd be in heaven. Very bright and a vast improvement from stock. I may have my driver fog a bit out of alignment. Will worry about it later.
