I bought what mbucklein directed me to on Page 8 from The only change I made is I did not buy the brighter more expensive LED for the glove compartment because I didn't see the need. I only bought two of those for the trunk space.

What I used was a trim removal kit and a small flat head. If you don't have a kit get it on ebay for a few bucks. Well worth it

Trunk removal tips- The screwdriver is inserted towards the front of the vehicle. (Pic is with LED in)

Trunk old light

Trunk LED

License Plate - I do get the license plate out warning at start but its literally 3 seconds

Give it a slight turn, pull out bulb and replace

Old on the left, LED on the right

Vanity- Found it easier to start on the side and work my way around

Old Lights

Dome removal start towards the front of the car, work your fingers under and pull down

Unclip here

Give a slight twist, remove and replace

Map removal- make some space and pull down from the front of the car

Once you unclip it, remove bulbss by pinching housing

Dome old lights, Maps (Front) LEDs

Glove compartment you just use the screw driver and wedge the right side out I think

How did you manage to take off the bulbs in the vanity?

Stick a little flathead screw driver between the lense and mirror and pull up and away from the mirror (maybe the otherror side I can't remember). Needle nose to get the bulb out. I had to file my LEDs down a little bit until I could fit them.

Ended up going with the same LEDs I went with cargo and glovebox. Really bright and I think I like it.

Will a CANBUS LED solve this issue too?
Interesting conversation with support... the CANBUS leds still throw the error code I assume the resistors are the issue. I asked for the specs on the type of resistor (wattage, size and whatnot)... their response... "unfortunately we don't have that information". So apparently they're too lazy, buy from China, or these leds just make themselves.

Small pair of pliers. Got as good of a grip as I could and just pulled.

Afternoon guys, has anyone had issues with the 194 wedge LEDs from SBL? I have 2 for the plate lights and some of the diode's flicker on both wedges and then some go off. This happens when I first start up the jeep. After it's been running for about 15 seconds the flicker stops but some diode's don't come back on, I have them in all the mentioned places in the jeep with no issues.

I have used them before in other vehicles with no issues and these have only been in for about 3 months... Also they are the canbus safe ones,

Thanks for any insight
