High beam circuit ?

I've looked here, in the owner's manual and via Google but no luck.
I'm trying to find a way to tap into a high beam wire somewhere to activate a relay, for driving lights.
I can't find a fuse for the high beam shutter, at least not in the manual and I haven't looked at the wiring harness directly (yet). Hoping someone has done this already.
I did read about this one guy on a GC forum looking to tap into the similar GC HID high beam shutter circuit, but the topic was abandoned.
Thanks..

If you're using recent incarnations of FireFox (or Pale Moon in my case), recent changes in the SSL implementation will cause you problems. There are fairly complicated ways to persuade FireFox to work, but for the few sites that have this problem (this is one of them), I just switch to IE. It loads in IE fine.

Awesome site, and you can bookmark the link direct to your VIN for later reference.

Glad you got it to work. Here's how I wired in my off road lights if it helps. I did a two-way switch so I can turn them on separately or have them come on with the high beams (or off completely too).

Its a great system for the dark, two-lane roads I drive on all the time. I can quickly switch them off with the high beams as soon as I see another car.

Fantastic, exactly what I was looking for, thanks Nate

FireFox user myself, so thanks for the heads up as well.
Going to get this done later in the summer.

Got any picture(s) of the lights ? Just curious...

Cheers,

Dual front 18W LED lights (flood pattern) mounted to my RRO Brush Guard. They're pointed outward for more vision on the side of road. Going to add a 12" light bar some time soon.

Makes a huge difference for spotting deer on the side of the road.

That's a nice improvement over stock lighting, and a good looking setup

I see the Yakima round bars up top. Mine are 20+ years old, the rail grabs need a little paint but other than that, they still get the job done. I also notice you have the fairing : does it really help for wind noise ? I might just get me one...

Yah. Without the fairing you get pretty loud hum from the wind. Plus the fairing just looks cool.
