Theoretically asking, can a bumper mounted light bar

Throw off the the auto high beams due to bounce back?

I love the light bar through the grill pic, but can't find it again. Can anyone answer the question and point me to the thread?? Thanks

I disabled the auto high beams as the light bar is blinding to oncoming vehicles long before the sensors turn them off. With just headlights it was a cool gimmick, but just didnt work properly with the light bar.

Seems possible that external mounted lights might throw off the auto sensors, but at true nighttime lighting situation I would think that would not be the case. Otherwise oncoming vehicle lighting would do the same. I believe you should not have an issue, just my thoughts

There was the one Gersh did.

Light Bar Mounts

I was thinking of doing the same, though I am unsure if it was him, or another that tried - and found the location wasn't as ideal as first thought because of all the road grim, salt, mud, snow, ice, etc that got packed onto the light bar rendering it pretty much useless. The thread does show his mounting location. You could PM him, perhaps, to get further details or to the correct thread.

Worked for me too, dunno.

Here is another thread that shows the grill location. This is the one that I was thinking of, regardless.

New lightbar, new mount location.

Failing to see either of the two I have linked, you can search the title in the search bar to get to them.
