Does the Cherokee have a hard drive?

Been listening to music using a flash drive in a USB port and am wondering if I can just down load the music files from the flash drive to permanently have them on a hard drive in my 2016 Cherokee.

None of the model options have a hard drive installed. It does have a SD card reader for more permanent storage.

I'm pretty positive that the Cherokee has some type of storage device (whether hard drive or SSD-like system). I say this because the radio has the ability to cache the satellite stream and allow you to pause, replay, etc. I think it also defaults to caching your presets (if I read the manual correctly) so when you change stations it will play at the beginning of a song. It's probably not very large in terms of storage, and I haven't seen anything to indicate that your can upload data to it, but something is storing that media stream locally.

One of the nicest features of my wife's X1 is the built in hard drive, which offers a bit more flexibility than the Cherokee has. If I'm listening to satellite radio and get a call, it automatically pauses (and records) the station so when I hang up I start back where I left off. It can also rip CDs right to the hard drive, though I don't think you can upload something from a USB port (never tried). Was really happy to see something similar in the Cherokee.

...and the GPS data is stored somewhere too.

So there is a harddrive, but it's not really user accessible.

It is probably not a hard drive. It is most likely a small amount of flash memory, possibly a PCMCIA card or SD chip.
