Vehicle Phone Requires Service Message

Has anyone seen this?


This is what I know...
After about 30 minutes, the Uconnect looses 3G connectivity.
Connectivity never comes back.
Clock stops. (which really sucks)
Assist button on the review stops working.
Texting in and out stops through the Uconnect.

I have gone to the Engineering Screen and reset to factory and reinstalled the latest software, didn't help.
RA4 16 16 13
Oh, and the clock runs slow and looses minutes a day if I take it out of syncing through GPS.

I called Uconnect and the opened a ticket and wasted a lot of my time.
I'm dreading the trip to the dealer where they will take days to recreate the problem and be confused about a solution.
I think the solution will be a new head unit, but it works for 30 or so minutes.
Software, right?

I have never seen this topic here so I imagine it isn't that common.

I don't believe that it would be the HU, but rather the Uconnect module.

2016 Cherokee Trailhawk: Mango Tango Pearl Coat over Black.
OPTIONS: Every Available Factory Option/Package Except Remote CD Player.

Saw that for about 5 seconds once, hasn't come back. Warranty just expired too.

It might, but the slow clock and consistent crashing after so many minutes point more to hw than sw. But firrmware can cause stiff like that too.

Finally had enough of this Uconnect nonsense.
Tired of waiting for the OTA update that has never come and most likely will not fix the Wireless Card problem anyway.

I took it to the dealer.

I explained it perfectly, but I know they will say they couldn't recreate the problem.
And on the way home from the dealer tonight... "VEHICLE PHONE REQUIRES SERVICE" I guarantee it.
