Hopefully they post for download. I added radio and don't have the cell hook to antenna.

That link to the TSB certainly looks legit. I don't really care if updates are over the air or via USB. But what does have me excited is that the TSB only mentions one Uconnect software version (17.11.07) for 2013-2016 vehicles. Could this mean that some of the bugs that were fixed for 2015 could finally be fixed in my 2014? I sure hope so. I assume the update will be available for USB install at some point since not everyone will necessarily have Sprint service where they are.

I would also prefer to download and install myself instead of waiting in the car for 20 minutes to download. Then another 45-60min to install.

Maybe this update is very critical in some other reason that is not listed onto TSB (i.e. security or essential function of the vehicle).

In any case, I just hope it solves the issues I have had with the unit.

I just wish FCA would have done deals w/Bell/Rogers or Telus to provide the UConnect service in Canada. Mind you, I'm flummoxed as to who thought a 3G connection (that can be shared via WiFi to passengers in the Jeep) is sufficient connectivity when LTE is about to start the move into 5G technology.

Likely the same engineer who decided to put the engine cut off relay into the driver's side wheel well of the Patriot.

I don't, I found all my info in this forum. The Cell should be the Purple Connector. Its pretty basic behind there, really not a lot. One big plug with wires, then 1, 2 or 3 antenna wires depending on what you have.

Yah I completely agree, 3G came out 10+ years ago at this point!
