Maybe you all are misunderstanding the message on the UConnect site? Has anyone updated their UConnect via USB and NOT seen this message afterwards? I think it's just showing which update your device is eligible for. I don't think the site actually has the means to determine your current update. I could be totally wrong, though.

The way I think it works is this: the system takes in your VIN, determines which unit you have (RA2, RA3, RA4) and simply posts the latest update for that unit. Period. Just my .02

Mine also shows that message about the radio upgrade available for the update I already loaded and the dealer also re-loaded last year. I guess I will give them a call and try my luck with them later today ...

I hope they will eventually provide it as a download, it seems silly that to only provide it only OTA ... lets hope they don't try OTA for any transmission updates :O

Yep, totally agree. Silly or just plain bad communications/PR skills from FCA.

If this update rollout is in fact a test run for their *new* OTA delivery system, then why not just come out and say it... I mean jeez...

What FCA should do : send a memo to the @JeepCares team with the real story, and let them handle the comminucations end of it ; they have the skills and the media to get this done properly.

That is what I thought, but the UConnect person on the phone said their system showed that my vehicle had NOT received the 2016 update. Since Siri eyes-free has indisputably been present on my system since I did the USB update in April 2016 then it is most probable that we are all installing correctly, but for whatever reason Jeep does not register the update as having been completed. A concern is therefore that the OTA update might not get pushed out since UConnect / Jeep sees the vehicle as not up to date. If JeepCares can comment on this it would be much appreciated.

One aside to note: since updating my iPhone to iOS10.3 the Uconnect problems have been less noticeable. I have been able to force Bluetooth to play music even with a second iPhone connected to USB (although it took a number of re-tries to get it to "stick"), Siri is markedly more responsive, and I haven't experienced the degree of phone connection weirdness seen with iOS10.2.

Did you mean post #15? Post #5 Is a Different Update done at the Dealer or probably with a USB. They both have a 5 in it so I thought it could be a typo.
