Why does my backup camera look like this after pulling out radio?

I pulled out my 8.4 Uconnect w/ Nav system over the weekend in an effort to find the source of a rattle within my dash. After putting everything back in, my backup camera looks like the photo attached. It seems that it's getting a signal (I can recognize shapes of things behind me), but it's all garbled. Any ideas on how I messed this up?

Looks like a loose connection to me.. Try opening it back up and re-seating your connectors.

Try bouncing your Jeep or bumping the dash. Does it change?

Looks like your rabbit ears antenna needs some tinfoil attached to it. Oh, the days of pre-cable TV...

Jumping it and hitting the dash doesn't help. I'll open it back up and have a look, but all I did was unplug the connectors and plug them back in when I reinstalled. But maybe something isn't seated correctly.

Any ideas on which bundle of wires contains the feed for the backup camera so that I can narrow it down further?

I'd try disconnecting your battery, reseating the main wire loom on the back of the uConnect, wait a hour or so, reconnect battery and see what happens.

If I remember correctly, the jack for the camera is similar to an ethernet jack; RBZ MyGig in my Nitro, 8.4 Uconnect in my Journey Crossroad. It could have changed with the new Uconnects.

Check for a bad camera shield circuit. That circuit should be at pin 33 of the radio's electrical connector. Other pins related to the rear camera are 31 (camera signal) & 32 (camera return).

Always a good idea to disconnect the battery before doing any electrical work.
