Subwoofer Set up

Just finished wiring my new set up. I replaced the factory sub with a 8" pioneer shallow mount sub and installed a 8" alpine type R sub in a preloaded enclosure running on a alpine 500 watt mono amp it all fits perfectly out of the way and doesn't compromise any of my trunk space. I'll be adding a capacitor to the rig soon when I find a spot to hide it

Nice. I replaced mine with an 8" Kicker DVC (300W RMS, 600 Max), wired in parallel to a 300/600 Kicker Mono Amp. Amp is in the tire well (wired to my battery); it also has a tiny remote gain knob, which is velcrowed to my dash, just in front of the 4WD Rotary Switch.

Did you have to replace the factory amp for the alpine amp? Or did you just use the wiring already there from the factory sub?
