8.4" Uconnect Nav Unit Firmware Update Available Now...

Go here and enter your VIN. It will tell you that there is an update available. Follow the instructions to download the update to a USB thumb drive and then you can flash your Cherokee radio. I completed the flash last night and now have ALL of the VIA MOBILE apps. Works GREAT!

No Problem! One caveat. I was unsuccessful in downloading the update using Windows 8.1 64-bit. I had to use an old laptop with Windows 7. The download utility simply would not work with my Windows 8.1 configuration regardless of whether I used IE or Firefox. Windows 7 started the download right away.

i'm in the process of downloading it right now on my mac. Lucky for me my wife was at the store and i told her to purchase a thumb drive. I can't wait for her to get back so i can update my system.

yesterday, i went to the dealer for my "nav-ready" navigation to be turned on (purchased the trailhawk monday evening and due to different timezones, they were unable to turn it on). My service advisor was really helpful by showing me the controls however voice controls for nav was unable to work. We couldn't figure it out since it was working for the radio, and temperature. He went to the drawing boards, made a few calls and viola...we found out that its not updated. pressed for time, i told him that i'll have to come back next saturday. If this works, you definitely saved me a trip. pending...

Yep, doesn't work on Windows 8.1. Unfortunately that means I can't get it.

Okay, I found a Win 7 computer, and the crap still doesn't work. Same problem as above. It downloads, then never does anything beyond that. Why the **** in this day and age do these idiots still think you need to use a download manager.
