Mud in skid plates

After my latest expedition in the backwoods of NC, I realized that I brought home about half of the mud pit I drove through in my skid plates...

Does anybody have any tricks to get the mud and leaves and such out of the undercarriage and the skid plates?

The 2014 front skid plate has hole on the front. Scoops up the dirt.
The 2015 front skid plate does not have holes on the front. Can still collect dirt from the sides.
Check the rear axles near the rear drive unit. I had a lot of sod on top of the inboard axle boots.
Took a couple days to finally get all the mud and sod out of the nooks and cranys.
Sometimes the plastic body panels will pull loose.
Check the exhaust bolt towards the front.
Use a garden hose with nozzle at home then go to a self car wash and use the high pressure wand.
I finally had to put the car up on a lift to remove some of the sod. My dealer wasn't happy about all the mud I dropped on the shop floor.
Clearly you are having too much fun.

Yes, before it dries!
My 2014 Limited does not have plates.
My 2001 Cherokee Sport w/off road package did have Skid plates.
All I used was a hose with a nozzle till it was cleaned off. A long brush that is used to clean refrigerator coils is useful in the hard to reach areas between the body and plates to help remove the stubborn collections of muck.
But again I was relatively unsophisticated in those days and my body was much more flexible than it is today.
A carewash with an extended undercarrage wash might help.

I know one guy who puts a oscillating lawn sprinkler on under his JKU and just parks in his lawn and let's the sprinkler run. I don't think our Jeeps are tall enough for that to work, I use a pressure washer st the coin op, and seriously thinking of getting one next spring. A few runs and it will have paid for itself in coins.

One of the many reasons we avoid mud... This is our other rig and from a few years ago, but I have made ramps now to do the same thing. Now I can get under there to clean everything out really well.

You need some articulation in that suspension. Not enough travel. Try again.
