Invitation: AZ trip to Anderson Mill Trail

AZ gang! Looking to gauge interest in a meet up this Sunday (12-FEB) for a run down the Anderson Mill Trail near Wickenburg, AZ.

Details: http://azoffroad.net/anderson-mill-trail/4564826788

Looks like an interesting area with lots to see. The trail should be on the easy side based on what I've read of it.

I'm meeting a co-worker who is looking to finally get their JKU off pavement for the first time
I'll have my drone with me on this trip for some aerial chase cam action!

AZ Trailhawks that I know of:
@Ol'Greg @HoffieSucks @Carefree @warzim @friskybingo @ctprelude @AZWall @DRYHEAT

Thoughts?

Looks like an interesting trip. I can't say whether or not I can make it at this point but since I am up in the Prescott area I wouldn't be able to meet before say about nine or ten AM. Keep posting updates (and add ua_who to your list of AZ Trailhawks) as to time and place for a meet.

Will do. Hammering out a time with the JKU, but I would imagine 9-10am start is in the cards.
@ua_who I can't believe I forgot you man!

I'll get back to you guys tonight with specifics.

No problems. Unfortunately, I can't make it this weekend. I'm heading out of the country for two weeks on Tuesday and I'm cramming through a bunch of stuff at work before hand to get ahead a bit.

sounds like fun though. March or April... I'm game for it if you want to run it again!

Alright guys and gals - we've got details.

Open invite for an exploration of the Anderson Mill Trail!

12-FEB @ 10am
Difficulty 3.5/10
15 miles, 2-4 hours approximate ride time

Meet up here:
33°53'43.7"N 112°35'31.2"W
https://goo.gl/maps/JECURF1Nn762

I've never personally driven this trail, but its reported to be a fairly simple one with lots to explore. We'll pass several old mines, loads of history and end up at the Anderson Mill. Should be good times! A friend of mine will be joining us in their JKU sport - first time they've taken it off pavement, so looking for something tame on their first outing.

Trail details and directions can be found here:

Okay, I'm in for Sunday morning at 10:00. Weather forecast is for 50% rain on Saturday and 24% on Sunday in Wickenburg. I hate muddy trails so if it rains a lot I'll skip the run.
I'll be on CB channel 14 unless you guys like something else. Who else is coming besides 4x4tographer and his JKU buddy?

Something to keep in mind: Wickenburg is having their 69th Annual Gold Rush days on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That might make for some heavy traffic in the area although the turn off from SR-74 to Castle Hot Springs Road is way east of Winckenburg. Check out the web page for more info: http://www.wickenburgchamber.com/event_type/annual/

It looks like the rain around Wickenburg might hold off until next week. Are we still on for tomorrow, 2/12? Who is going besides me?

My wife and kids will be with me 2/12 at 10am at the above noted meeting spot. The JKU is bringing their spouse and kids as well. Should be a nice fun group.

As the trail is an out and back, we're planning on brown bagging some lunch and eating at the top.

Looking forward to tomorrow!
