What you should NOT do or look like

This driver, at least by legal title, should not be off road in anything. He went down a trail a Jetta could clear. Get ready to laugh.

This driver did it right. This looks like a more capable Renegade.

By the numbers:
1) Didn't trust his spotter
2) Unclear if spotter knew what he was doing; from the limited view, looks like not
3) Which is maybe way #1 exists. It looks like he was more a "watcher" than a "spotter"
4) Seatbelts and "head, arms, and body inside the vehicle at all times"...

At least there wasn't:
5) "Hold my beer and watch this!"

Everybody has to start somewhere, at least he's getting it out on a trail.

True, but having somebody experienced with you to start off with good habits is a way to not having something bad happen your first time, or later.

Wow that little jeep is awesome! I've never really thought about a renegade doing that kind of work. Pretty cool.

What you should NOT do or look like

I run with a lot a softroaders group. We have renegades, Subarus, hondas, etc. The new people are always unsure and sometimes don't listen. When that happens they usually damage their rigs. Which is why video is a wonderful thing.

On this trail below, everyone was navigating through a twisted portion. I decided since I had skid plates and whatnot to just comes straight down.

Never laugh at someones inexperience or misfortune. It may come back to haunt you. Nothing to laugh at. I figured he was going to flip the Jeep over; happy ending.

The original post was dogging on the driver's abilities or lack there of, not the spotter's.
