If you could plan a private 101 class for May, (say the third weekend? Lol) I'd be game. If you plan one another time, let me know about it, and if I'm available; count me in.

Pics or it didn't happen...

We normally run reds when we are at RC with JKU. Ever since the logging there have been many bypasses to the old trails and lines, along with it lots of people claiming they did some trails but were not on the actual line. The actual Crawl Daddy trail is not doable in a KL. Largely because there are holes cut in the lines that swallow 39s. Flex really doesn't matter in these spots it's all about approach angle and tire size. We had to rock stack in several places with our JKU on 37s.

Here is a video (not ours) of Crawl Daddy.

Here is a video of our last trip there. These are easier reds and Blacks to suit the group.

I'm not talking trash, but if a KL were on these trails it better have a trailer or roll-back waiting for it in the parking lot.

PS - I don't know how to embed videos here so sorry for the links.

Concur - only #11 and Crawler Ridge are doable in a KL. Kyle tried taking a KL through Crawl Daddy and took 3 hours to go 300 feet. You can get through the first little bit and get a pic, which is not the same as going all the way through - so, I'd say for Crawl Daddy, vids of the whole thing (or a gps track) or it didn't happen.

But, this should be part of the Badge of HONOR thread. People are hijacking this. Main purpose was to get Mrs Rohan up to Rauch for a 101 class, and then maybe a group ride. Thus, any talk about hitting harder trails isn't what this thread is meant to be about.

I've been through Kyle's 101 and 202 class, so unless Mrs. MarinR is driving, I don't think I'd make the trip up.

We may end up going later. Since there isn't a lot of interest in 101, we'll probably take a solo (duo) trip and then look at doing a group event in the future.

I might be in too, have to talk with the Family. Might have a greenhorn to run the 101. If she's learning to drive, and learning to drive in the Jeep, she should know some basics for wheeling.
