AZ Crew! Up for a trail run?

Coordinating a trail run up to the summit of Harquahala Mountain on Sunday, 4 June @ 7am. This is the tallest peak in SW Arizona and you can pretty much drive to the top (3,360ft climb, summit at 5,600ft).

Trail Details:
https://www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/78-harquahala-mountain-summit-road

Trailhead:
33°43'40.8"N 113°17'37.6"W
https://goo.gl/maps/aQT3uCdeQ6N2

Plan:
• 7am meet up at trailhead to air down and hit the bathroom
• 2-3 hours on the trail
• Wife and I are planning to return home (Buckeye) by way of Wickenburg for lunch/sightseeing

I've not run this trail before, but it's not a difficult rating (2-4 out of 10) and should be simple for a stock Trailhawk.

It sounds like a fun run and something reasonable after a couple brutal trails but I'm not sure about the 7am start. I would have to leave home here in Dewey by 5am at the latest and I'm too old to be changing my schedule that much. For now at least, I'll take a pass. Good luck and have a great time. WARZIM.

I might be up for that. It's nice up on top there.
I ran it about 5 years ago with my son driving our FDII Patriot and I was driving my old 2006 Grand Cherokee.
Couple of spots the Patriot struggled a bit (loose gravel AND steep slope at the same time).
The GC had no problems.
And I see no issue whatsoever with any TH's. AD2's too would be just fine. AD1 may struggle like the Patriot did.

I'm putting it on the calendar.

I'm up for any time that morning. (I'm an early riser no matter what)

If I'd not ben working a headshot session and on the other side of the continent. Might need to start planning runs on the west side of the world for next year, maybe.

I'd really like to go. Can a newbie tag along? Stock TH...

Absolutely! I'm a relative newbie myself (only 3-4 under my belt)
Trail isn't tough, read ua_who's note above about his experience on it.

So far we have 3 TH's, 1 ADII Limited and a stock JKU sport on tap. Looking forward to meeting another AZ member!

I'm going to have to back out for the Sunday ride. Wife isn't feeling up to it, she had a knee replacement 4.5 weeks ago. Was hoping she would be ok but still not ready. Keep me in mind next time. I'm on Facebook KL Group too.

Looking forward to tomorrow's run. Don't forget some extra water! It'll be a scorcher when we get back down the mountain. Forecast is 107.

If you have a CB I'll be in ch 19, but can't guarantee it'll work. Still haven't nailed the tuning. [emoji28]

It was a nice run. Everyone made it up without issues or even any evidence of struggles.
There's a lot of history up on top too which is cool for the Arizona history buffs.

Here's a few pics. One is a surround-shot. On my phone you can spin it around in 3D. Looks like it was just converted to a 2D panorama here.
