Anybody going to Moab for memorial weekend?
Thanks!Teaser
Excellent weather in Moab this weekend. We knocked off several trails with some first time drivers:
1. Metal Masher* (BoH)
2. The Pickle
3. Fins-N-Things*
4. He11's Revenge*
5. He11's Gate*
6. Steel Bender*
7. Wipe Out Hill*
Looked at it, but there was a gaggle of 15 Razers on it so we took a pass. Left a little chicken on the bone for next time.edge600;2687610[/quote said:But when are we doing Escalator??
On the east side of Moab, in the Sand Flats Recreation Area, are the two BOH trails of Fins and Things, and ****'s Revenge. Those are both doable in a day. Fins and Things would be a great "warm up." ****'s Revenge is doable as well to complete a fun day, especially if you bypass some of the really challenging technical obstacles, like "the Escalator" and "Mickey's Hot Tub." Poison Spider, which I did last week, would really test your metal and your machine. Its a good 3/4 of a day long challenge. Lots of fun stuff on Poison Spider that will allow for a big sense of accomplishment, if not a sigh of relief, when completed. While there are some challenges you can bypass on that trail, there are also many that will cause you to rethink what you are doing but are totally fun!!.@taatmk and @Snowhawk2015 I'm heading up to Moab next weekend.
Any advice on trails?
Out of your list of 7 there, how many can you do in one day? in two?
It would be cool to get a few BOH trails for sure.
And push the limit a bit on the technical side of things.
Nice job!! I've let out a big yee-haw myself a time or two...I'm not one to get to excited on my runs, but I did let out a little woop at the end
