My recent cars have had the fuel door on the right. '04 CTS, '10 Camaro, '11 CTS, '14 Cherokee.

Which side it's on makes no difference to me.

2014 Trailhawk, mango, V-6, leather, comfort/convenience, sunroof.

Also have a 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe. In the past, I've owned several Firebirds, a Camaro, a CTS sedan, a Reatta, a pair of Monte Carlos, an Avenger (the mid-'90s coupe), a couple of Cavalier hatchbacks, and a Saturn coupe.

Same here. My last 4 vehicles have all been on the right side. I like more that the fuel cap is a push style instead of a physical button and locks when the doors lock.

This is the first car i have had with fuel cap on right, being in Australia and right hand drive i like it, makes sense, get out and you are right there no walking around the back to other side. Now the wipers and turn signals on opposite sides is taking a bit of getting used to.

How do the Forester and Cherokee compare? I had a hard time deciding between the two.

Stopped at Costco gas bar today. The line-up at each island was at least 6 deep with cars waiting to fuel up but one lane had no vehicles and just so happened to be for us RH fillers. Win for me. Was in and out in no time.

@jamie1 : we don't have a Costco here, but couldn't you just back into a normally RH filler lane with a LH filler car ?

When my wife got her 2008 Nissan Versa, I couldn't believe the gas cap was on the right side... Hated it then, hate it now. Hate the KL gas filler door that keeps freezing, too

/rant and thanks for listening

I would prefer the gas cap be on the left side, as it is easier to judge distance to pump when I pull in. However, after two years plus with the KL, I have gotten used to it being on the right side and have even pulled up to the right side with our other vehicle which is a left sider before Would be nice if all cars were the same though.

It took me forever to realize that most/all cars have a little arrow on near the gas gauge pointing to the side the filler is on. Since then, it's been a non-issue.
