Interesting. I do prefer it on the left side. And a few times I have pulled up and then had to change sides. As my last few trucks were on the right.

Wife's car is on drivers side, my TH is on passenger, previous car was on drivers. It only took one time pulling up wrong, to get it figured out. I wish the fuel door opening button was in a better spot. I got used to the door location, but still forget to hit the button half the time!

You and me both, although I'm getting better about it. Then again, I've had 9 months of practice.

Showed the button to the wife on the one we test drove. Going to take her awhile to get used to the fill being on other side. They probably have on that side because of overseas sales where it has to be on right side. I noticed a newer Equinox had it on the right side also.

Many, years ago, had the filler tube behind the license plate. Also, remember that Cadillac once had the filler inside one of the 'fin' tail lights. (don't remember which side, though)

I read the link - thanks. There are 3 good comments there that are mentioned a few times.
The first is that there is less of a line to the left of the gas pumps at many stations, especially those that are 1-directional (e.g. Costco's).
The second is that if you need to fill from a jerrycan at the side of the road then having the door on the right is safer.
The third is that is safer to have the fuel door on the opposite side of the exhaust pipe (where applicable).

6 months of practice for me and I still forget half the Tim. With the small tank in this thing, I should have it down cold by now!

For the one ones that forget, look at the fuel gauge arrow. It points to which side it is.

The only car I ever had with a fuel filler on both sides was the 1950 Riley 2.5 sedan that I got, used, in 1953 by trading in my MG TC and some $$$. I thought it was a good idea but can see why it is not alway possible. If it has to be just one filler, I still prefer it on the left side.
