This^^^^...hopefully they have enough sense to give it a half decent tow capacity.
3500 lbs is NOT going to cut it in the truck market........

Same here. I had a 1994 Ford Bronco II back in the day and it was the perfect size. Kind of the same direction I went with for the Cherokee. I had a Grand Cherokee before the KL. The Grand was just more than I needed.

I just saw the spy shot. If that bed's not 4'x4', forget about it! It might just barely be 4' wide. The JKU isn't that wide and it looks like the bed doesn't fully encompass the fenders so it will be a squeeze.

Some JT links I came across:

Looks like production won't start until late 2019.

I don't care about carrying loads in the bed......I'm talking about trailering capacity.....

The KL with a tow package can tow 4500lbs. This truck will likely be able to pull on the verge of 5000lbs, which is also what the Honda Ridgeline is rated at. So I could see it at least matching the Cherokee. But if you look at the Grand Cherokee for example, a Limited with the tow package, and the Pentastar will tow 6200lbs according to Jeep's own website. If you go for the V8, or the Diesel, then it's 7200lbs.

5000lbs of towing capacity sounds a pretty safe bet I would think.

We can hope, but given that the current Wrangler weighs in with only 3500 lbs capacity and the truck will be new Wrangler based...........
Perhaps they will finally up the new version Wrangler as well....at any rate, I think 7000 lbs would be the bare minimum they should be looking at for a truck version. The midsize truck market is pretty square in that zone.
