With the premium, you have unlimited storage and you should all see less ads.
@Array, you can always send a check or money order to us, its not recommended because if it gets lost on its way here we are not responsible for it. However its an option to purchase the paid subscription.

Thank you,

~ Glenda

True, but thought it would be good to know the impediment is there. I don't understand why a merchant would not accept PayPal where the source of funds is from a linked Mastercard. If it's the charge card company fee causing the holdup, then my suggestion would be to add the fee to the Premium cost so members can click and be done with it. Why make it tricky to make a payment?

Not everyone has a mastercard or credit card that's applicable to make these purchases. We're using Paypal but that doesn't you mean you need to use Paypal. There's an option to pay with credit card directly in the paypal check out. Its also better for users who would like to opt out or get a refund.

In the future, my post count may graduate me from "Enthusiast" to "Elder" status, but no one will ever know, because I just bought the Premium membership. Until I checked, I had no idea it's only 20 bucks! That's the cheapest youth serum I've found yet! Frankly, I'm surprised all our members aren't Premium Members, considering that most are willing to drop hundreds or thousands on Cherokee toys and mods without a second thought.
Well, if all the members were premium members then nobody would truly be premium. It would be like every old Saltine. Sure, all of the boxes SAY Premium but have you ever really seen a Premium Saltine?

In my opinion, one in five hundred are truely Premium Saltines. All the others are old and stale like an elderly Cherokee owner. (Sorry Mark_)

I have a PayPal account. It has a linked Master Card. This provides me a level of security. Why doesn't this site accept it?

Okay, let's say I use my standalone charge card. Does this site retain my charge card info? And how would I know. It doesn't appear to ask as some sites do.

What do you mean it doesn't accept it? did you already attempt to purchase a membership?

Yes. I attempted several months ago. Tried it again a week or so ago. Tried it again just before my last post on this subject; attempting to determine if I was missing something on the JCC site. I then called PayPal to check that my PayPal Extras MasterCard credit card was still linked to my PayPal account and active/operational. I've made purchases this way many times, the most recent on eBay a couple weeks ago. Merchants don't know the source of funds and presumably don't care. They get the money from PayPal.

Here's what happens:

- Click on Get Premium
- Click Sign Up Premium; 2 options presented: 1) PayPal link goes to PayPal home page, 2) Order Using PayPal button. Used option 2... Clicked the button and it transfers to PayPal login screen.
- Click Log In button
- Get an error message: Link a card to make an instant payment. To complete this payment, add a debit or credit card to your PayPal account.

PayPal said my credit card is linked to my account. They suggested the merchant can set up filters; one being to not accept a payment without a backup funding source (like a bank checking account). I'm assuming this is why my payment is not accepted.

On the matter of security concern, the Sign Up Premium page says:

"Validity periods marked * indicate that purchasing this subscription is recurring, this means after the period is complete it will automatically be renewed. All paid subscription fees are non-refundable."

This confirms my PayPal account data is stored and reused automatically on an annual basis. I could not find a way to opt out of that.

Thanks, hope this helps.

that is strange. have you tried removing the card and re-adding it? seems like a bug with paypal. has anyone else had this issue as well when trying to get a premium through paypal?
