Firefox users with Adblock?

FF must have recently done an update, because starting today, the site does not load properly with adblock on. a couple of symptoms are avatars are hidden, i can't hover over the dropdown menus at the top of the page (forums, new posts, tools, etc), and a few other odds and ends. anyone else having a similar experience? visiting this site without an adblocking add-on is not an option with how commercialized it has gotten. if anyone uses this setup, can you backup your adblock settings to a file and send them to me?

Firefox users with Adblock?

First step the admins are going to ask you to do is clear your cookies and possibly your cache. I don't normally use Firefox so am not certain but when I get a chance tomorrow I'll check it out.

What operating system are you using?

Doubt it has anything to do with FF. I'm using Chrome and it's the same as of this evening. Notification link doesn't work either plus other peculiar failures. And as you said, interacting with the site (at least with the PC I'm using) without an ad blocker is a non-starter (e.g. what's typed into the message box doesn't show up on the screen because the computer is overwhelmed dealing with the ads.)

Edit to add PC specs:

Windows 10
Intel Core i5
4 GB DDR3
Chrome

FWIW, I just logged in using incognito mode (no cookies or cache) with ad blocker on and the same problem.

I'm having the same issue as you, but it isn't AdBlock Plus causing it in my case. I run Firefox 53.0 with ABP, and disabling ABP and reloading the page makes no difference. Avatars and drop downs still don't work.

I also use an add-on called Ghostery, and THAT is what is causing my issue. "Pausing" Ghostery and reloading the page allows everything to load correctly. This was never an issue until recently...have been using Ghostery for a long time. Not sure what broke the functionality on the site while using it.

Glad to hear yours is functioning with your addon disabled.

I actually run safari on mac with Adblock and don't have a problem. But being a mod the forum looks a bit different. So, after my daughters dentist appointment I'll log into a test account on my gaming machine and see what I can narrow down and if I have to wipe the computer and start over it's of no real concern to me, I keep backups.

So, just to clarify. Everyone is running windows 10? Do you all have the most recent creators update installed? And it seems to affect FF, Chrome and Edge?

Has anyone tried logging in with all add-ons disabled? Some browsers call it a safe mode.
