When I'm not in Communist NY, there's an old I Frame in the passenger seat compartment....along with my first aid kit. I'm not too worried about rapid deployment, it's just my small woods/truck gun.

I had bought a ROTO paddle holster for my walther ppq, which is held together with one screw in the middle of a serrated pattern which made it perfect for this project.

first took the steering column bottom cover off and drilled a hole right next to one of the 'supports'. then took a hex machine bolt and turned the head down and drilled and tapped it for a 1/4-20 screw. then secured the bolt to the cover using a few washers for alittle extra grip. doing all this you can angle the gun out any way you'd like, also able to detach it very easily and quickly for use with the paddle mount for conceal carry. EASY

ill take some pics once I get it back on the jeep.

Quick access and - for righty's anyway - on the strong side.
What cheap sunglasses holder are you using for your LCP?

I keep the LCP in the top compartment of the center arm rest. Works well so far.

The built-in one in the Cherokee, in the overhead console. I should have updated that after I posted this, I went out and tested to see if it would work. It doesn't fit like it does in my Pathfinder and F150 as it's significantly smaller. I had forgot about this thread.

Does anyone know of a underseat storage or lock box that could store a firearm. Similar to what's offered for the wrangler from bestop and smittybilt. There seems to be plenty of room under or behind the rear seat.

This isn't something I've specifically looked into, but you may be able to check the measurements of the boxes available for the Wrangler, and see if the dimensions are similar / close enough to fit it.

Honestly, I'm curious for reasons other than CCP. Would be nice to have a discrete lockbox hidden under a seat.

This whole thread is both interesting and shocking from this side of the pond. At 50 I have never seen a hand gun up close, never touched one, never even felt I could need one for anything. Please I'm not intending to raise any debate on firearms, I know nothing about this. It's just an observation.

Welcome to the thread

We had another thread that was talking about firearms, and inevitably, someone had to come in and share their scolding opinion of firearm owners. I digress.

By and large, the communication and people we have on this forum are mature and down to earth people, if you have questions, or want to know something, feel free to ask (either in thread, or send a PM.)

It's a very volatile topic in the US, you'll read some very extreme things (on both sides.)

I'm curious, what are the firearm laws in Barcelona? Are you allowed to own firearms? What type? or, are they completely illegal or by permit only?

"And for fun, what do all like to carry"?

I am looking forward to the purchase of a S&W Military and Police Shield in 9mm but when I broached the subject my thread got locked. I appreciate comments that remain on topic, as in "what do you use" or "what do you recommend" , they really were a lot of help in making my decision, just the way adult conversation should be.
