For the conceal carriers out there

So in all my previous vehicles I've mounted some sort of retention holster for my conceal carry. What do you guys use? How are you mounting 'em? And for fun, what do all like to carry?

I'd like to know some ideas for sure, for now my 9mm is just in my center console. I don't like that I don't have quick access to it.

@bmmartin249

What about using industrial velcro on the back of a conceal holster, and attach it to the interior? Maybe on the side of the center console?

In Texas, your pistol has to be 100% concealed in the vehicle. My CCW stays on me 99% of the time when driving. Although I haven't checked the KL, in the majority of vehicles I have driven, I have found the sunglasses holder fits an LCP nicely and those are cheap enough you can buy one and dedicate it to the vehicle. Quick access and - for righty's anyway - on the strong side.
Jeepster1 and Bucky like this.

My CCL is a bit on the large side, a Sig P226. I like the lockable boxes that fit under the seat, but I don't think there's room. There is the "secret" compartment under the passenger seat which would hold it nicely.

It all depends what state you live in or are driving in about where to keep your weapon. Here, in SC anybody with or with out a CWP can have a gun in their console or dash compartment. With the CWP you can carry it on you, but still must be concealed. I usually keep mine in the console since it is pretty easy to get too. I have my CWP so sometimes I keep it on me while driving--but not often. Oh, I own three 9 MMs for carry--but usually only carry one at a time.

It is difficult in Texas...you could probably get away with velcro/magnet under the steering wheel or dash but if the officer can see it you could get in trouble. If it's small enough I bet that storage compartment above the radio on the dash would be a good option and easy access.

Just got licensed...looking at a .38 or some small revolver. Just need to find one that I can aim and actually hit something....

Glock just came out with a new single stack 9mm. It's pretty small, and looks like it would fit just about anywhere.

2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude, Bright White 2.4L I4 for me.
2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude, Deep Cherry Red 3.2L V6 for wifey.
2008 Jeep Patriot Sport, Jeep Green for son.

In my 99 Grand Cherokee I had mounted a cqc serpa holster under the steering column with the grip aim out and to the right... Unless you looked right at it you couldn't even tell it was there. I've been carrying a Walther ppq 9mm lately but normally carry a fn 5.7

Looks pretty cool...though MSRP is a little high for my budget right now. I'll have to take a look at the 9mm to see if I like any of them.
