What really grinds my gears...

Yea I finally got an nice quote from a reputable shop in my area lowest of them all, quotes started at $1250 for painting both doors replacing an emblem as they "have to blend them" won't be able to get an exact match etc etc., $850 same thing, another place for PDR says $275 but won't be perfect and finally $530 we'll fix it and you won't even notice it, so going to give them a shot and see. I guess I just don't get how in this day and age we can get an exact color match lol

I've had this same thing happen to my driver's side rear door. And, ironically, it happened in a church parking lot no less.....

I've had it happen to me so many times on all my vehicles. Even following the do's and don'ts below, I still get tagged every now and then:

Don't:

1) Never park next to 2 door cars with long doors. They will swing those wide and ding your ride for sure.
2) Never park next to vehicles with stick figure decals in the rear window. That decal is there to warn you they have a posse of kids who have no clue about opening a door slowly/carefully.
3) Never park next to jacked up SUV's/Trucks. They spent so much money making their vehicle so tall that they don't care about anyone else's property. The height difference means you'll get tagged high on your door.
4) If the rust coefficient of the vehicle you want to park next to exceeds the painted surface coefficient... well... just pass on that parking spot.
5) If visiting a local retail store and the wind is blowing out of the south, then park at the south end of the parking lot to avoid getting tagged by runaway shopping carts.
6) Never take up two spaces. Don't be that doucebag. You're only asking for trouble from parking lot rage.

Do:
1) Park in an end spot with a curb next to you. Hug that curb as close as you can without scrubbing your tires.
2) If you find a parking spot with an extra wide space between paint lines, that spot is just for you!

Got the same dent on both sides of my Jeep. I put rock rails on and they stick out far enough that I believe they prevent this kind of damage. I haven't seen anything new in a while. If nothing else, people see the rails and want to avoid damaging their own vehicles and so are a little more careful.

Rock Rails Ordered, I didn't get the RRO after hearing all the issues, went with the Mopar Rails, but i did purchase the Bumper Winch and Prerunner so well see how that goes.

I passed on the RRO rails after the hassle of getting the roof rails and adventure rack delivered complete. Had my own rails made at a local JEEP after market supplier. Same look as RRO though. Very strong
