When it rains, it pours!

We have been completely consumed with our overland trailer project over the last couple weeks and I came home to a big box in the driveway... It may sound sad, but I couldn't for the life of me remember what it could be.

Turns out our winch bumper has arrived for the KL! This is the last piece of the puzzle for us before we hit more than logging roads. So, now the decision is: to curb the overland trailer and install the bumper, or hold off on the bumper and keep working on the trailer???

I do need to rotate the tires this weekend on "Klondike" so the trailer needs to move out of the lift bay anyway.... Hmmm....

Thanks! It's one of those things we rarely need, but I like the idea of it being there for the ready. When-ever we look at a tricky line, we also consider recovery points should things not go as planned. We have been involved with too many tough recoveries that could've been solved easily if the person just had a winch. We almost feel irresponsible leading a trail-ride without one.

A winch is like a first aid kit. Its great if you never need it, but good to have one if you do.

Whelp, It looks like RRO made the decision for me.... trailer it is.

We have waited 7 weeks to get the wrong parts! The seem to have sent us the internal crossmember for the KL but the outer bumper looks to be for a WK2. I'm not going to lie... I'm fairly upset about this. we called and spoke with Jared who wasn't much help and seemed unwilling to let us just explain the issue or look at pictures on their own website, and instead only wanted an email with pictures. He was sure to let us know that the shop has already left, and they wouldn't be in tomorrow. (Sorry that last part is me venting a bit, although completely true).

I think was has me tweaked so much is that I could see the issue in literally seconds after opening the package, but they couldn't?

Ha! Welcome to the club!

I ordered step rails and got two passenger sides.

I ordered an entire winching front end with a Warn VR8000S, and they sent the brush bar with no opening for a winch.

The tabs on the stinger were too long to allow the hood to close.

The spacers were too long which didn't keep the brush bar sitting flush.

They are an absolute joke. I almost want to buy a second set of everything they have, make jigs and put them out of business. At least when I make something for my customers they get the right part quickly.

It seems to be a constant theme with RRO. I really like the look of their supersliders but from all the horror stories I read here and all the horror stories I've seen across the board for all vehicles on numerous other sites I just don't want to take my chances with them. It's a wonder they have managed to stay in business for so long. If it was just a few instances I might overlook it but my gosh doing a Google search of them it's unbelievable how many customers they've ticked off over so many years.

Yeah I have been contemplating their step rails for a year, but being on the other side of the globe and hearing these stories plus the crappy US international delivery service I keep backing out just before hitting go on the order..

Sent via Tapatalk from a small keyboard on my phone with fat thumbs and no glasses...

Cheers, Dave.

Slight thread drift, but are you sure the problem is on our end? I'm no fan of the U.S. Postal Service, but yours is... ummm.... worse?

I've shipped or had shipped parcels from Melbourne, Yulara (which I obviously didn't expect to be speedy), and Cairns. They all took at least a week or more to even make it out of the country.
