Yay!! Winter again....

As lots of folks in the path are seeing, it looks like this will be a nice return to winter....since we recently had temps in the 50's :-|
We're lucky enough to be in the 15-22" range.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

Woke up to about 4" this morning and then I saw the snow was about the same

Supposed to get lake effect this afternoon...possibly over a foot in some locations east of me...stay safe for all of those in the affected areas.

ROFL...

This system is missing us, of course. Some good snow more to the South in Quebec though. Those on the Coast will get pounded hard. Right now NYC is in a transition zone with freezing rain and they may get more rain than snow, but everything North of that... yeee-haaaaa....

60F and sunny here today. Highs in the mid 80's this weekend. What is this 'winter' that you speak of? It's practically summer here.

Don't worry, I'm not too smug about it... we're only weeks away from daily tornadoes, hailstorms, torrential downpours, etc. All the local weather guys are chomping at the bit to get into ratings season... err severe weather season.

Where I am it's freezing. We've hit -20F overnight for a few nights now, and barely make it past 0F in the daytime. It's unusual for mid-March here. With these big winter storms, cold air has to come from somewhere, and I'm usually in it's path when it heads South. Same for extreme weather in your area : we have the cold air that clashes with hot and moist air from the Gulf and you guys suffer. Hope you have a *quiet* season this year...

4" or so here so far. Had to take the TH out and exercise snow mode. Need to make sure all the the vehicle components are functionally tested.

Had a couple of nice thunks against the skid places for the hard pack stuff the snow plows had left behind.

While you are devoting your storm driving time to make sure all features work as intended (not for fun... never !! ), do make sure Stability Control partial Off and full Off work as well, especially if you drive in deep stuff .

Oh and yeah... drive safe
